- 2022 Regeneron STS Competition closes November 9, 2022 at 7pm CST
- Basic Information and Essay Questions - Applicants enter responses directly into the text boxes on the web pages of the application.
- Document Uploads - Documents such as the research report, IRB summary, and IACUC approvals, where applicable, will be uploaded to the application as pdf files.
- Recommendations - Each student must request at least one Project Recommendation, one High School Report, and one Educator Recommendation. Each applicant has the option of requesting a second recommendation of each type.
- Transcripts - Applicants must ask their High School Report provider to upload a scanned copy to their High School Report. The Society no longer accepts transcripts, or any application-related materials, in the mail or by any other method except the online application system.
- TJSHS mid-January (Symposia!)
- A completed year of work, and only a single person presents
- Submit a 20~ish page research paper after being nominated by the school (TAMS makes you try out) and then the TJSHS people pick the top ones of each category
- You give a 12 minute powerpoint presentation at the competition and the top presenter from each category becomes a finalist, and the top 5 finalists move on to the national competition, called JSHS
- FWRSEF in mid-February
- Utilize Scienteer
- Abstracts/safety forms, science fair board, lab notebook, research binder

- Potential qualification to the Texas State Science and Engineering Fair (TXSEF) and the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF)
- Possibility of getting special awards: real possibilities of getting to know the career options in your area and potential of your project in society (rather than just in a fair!)
- ISOPO: due mid-March

- If selected, present a poster and be judged along with undergraduates from experts in your field
- Attend really interesting panels on current issues in science--be an active part of academia!
